The apps have been on the market for a while, and the client is well aware of the ecosystem of purchasing traffic and attracting customers.<\/p>\n<p id=\"a0c0\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jv jw in jx b jy jz ka kb kc kd ke kf kg kh ki kj kk kl km kn ko kp kq kr ks ig go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">Despite the coronavirus pandemic that drastically accelerated the growth of the online pharmaceutical market, <a class=\"au kt\" href=\"https:\/\/zorka.agency\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener ugc nofollow\">Zorka.Agency<\/a> was tasked with increasing the number of in-app sales.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\n\n<div class=\"m-border-top block\">\r\n    <div class=\"block__col-1\">\r\n        <h3>KPIs and Objectives<\/h3>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n    <div class=\"block__col-2\">\r\n        <p id=\"59ce\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jv jw in jx b jy lu ka kb kc lv ke kf kg lw ki kj kk lx km kn ko ly kq kr ks ig go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">Since the app had been in the stores for several years, the client\u2019s in-house team had already used all the basic user acquisition mechanics, including classic traffic sources like Meta, Instagram and Google. Besides, several other agencies were working on the promotion of the app in parallel with the client\u2019s in-house team.<\/p>\n<p id=\"da11\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jv jw in jx b jy jz ka kb kc kd ke kf kg kh ki kj kk kl km kn ko kp kq kr ks ig go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\"><a class=\"au kt\" href=\"https:\/\/zorka.agency\/services\/performance-marketing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener ugc nofollow\">Zorka.Agency<\/a> was tasked with finding traffic sources that would further increase client\u2019s orders and had not yet been tested. Given that the client was well versed in user acquisition, understood their sales funnel and economic model well, we had very clear KPIs:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li id=\"f2ac\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy jz kc kd kg mb kk mc ko md ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">We used CPI pricing model;<\/li>\n<li id=\"053c\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy mi kc mj kg mk kk ml ko mm ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">$2 CPI for iOS and $1.7 for Android;<\/li>\n<li id=\"b58e\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy mi kc mj kg mk kk ml ko mm ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">CR from install to purchase \u2014 minimum 10%;<\/li>\n<li id=\"4c8c\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy mi kc mj kg mk kk ml ko mm ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">We did not get paid for fraud traffic;<\/li>\n<li id=\"4278\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy mi kc mj kg mk kk ml ko mm ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">If fraud traffic for a source exceeded 15%, the source was disabled;<\/li>\n<li id=\"4613\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy mi kc mj kg mk kk ml ko mm ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">We used AppsFlyer to track traffic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"e82f\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jv jw in jx b jy jz ka kb kc kd ke kf kg kh ki kj kk kl km kn ko kp kq kr ks ig go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">Besides, we had a limited budget for all advertising campaigns. We mainly launched our campaigns in autumn and winter, which is the peak season of medications demand. At the same time, the overall budget was shared between other agencies and the client\u2019s in-house team.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\n\n<div class=\"m-border-top block\">\r\n    <div class=\"block__col-1\">\r\n        <h3>Launching Campaigns<\/h3>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n    <div class=\"block__col-2\">\r\n        <p id=\"b7c5\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jv jw in jx b jy lu ka kb kc lv ke kf kg lw ki kj kk lx km kn ko ly kq kr ks ig go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">Prior to launching advertising campaigns, we identified a list of traffic sources that had not yet been used. These were the sources that:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li id=\"3bb1\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy jz kc kd kg mb kk mc ko md ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">were launched by the client\u2019s in-house team;<\/li>\n<li id=\"b593\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy mi kc mj kg mk kk ml ko mm ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">were launched by other agencies;<\/li>\n<li id=\"3b47\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy mi kc mj kg mk kk ml ko mm ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">were banned due to high fraud rates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"2471\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jv jw in jx b jy jz ka kb kc kd ke kf kg kh ki kj kk kl km kn ko kp kq kr ks ig go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">Such restrictions significantly narrowed the list of potential user acquisition channels. Given the rather strict KPIs, the task seemed unconventional to say the least, which is why we decided to use several rare categories of traffic sources for the launch:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li id=\"6a35\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy jz kc kd kg mb kk mc ko md ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">OEM sources;<\/li>\n<li id=\"1ad4\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy mi kc mj kg mk kk ml ko mm ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">trust in-app sources;<\/li>\n<li id=\"5c19\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy mi kc mj kg mk kk ml ko mm ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">alternative app stores.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"8db8\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jv jw in jx b jy jz ka kb kc kd ke kf kg kh ki kj kk kl km kn ko kp kq kr ks ig go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">We took several factors into account when choosing the sources:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li id=\"4542\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy jz kc kd kg mb kk mc ko md ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">nearly zero fraud traffic;<\/li>\n<li id=\"41dc\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy mi kc mj kg mk kk ml ko mm ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">they had to be suitable for working with E-commerce;<\/li>\n<li id=\"3413\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy mi kc mj kg mk kk ml ko mm ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">the source had to have little popularity in the market while being highly efficient.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"b336\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jv jw in jx b jy jz ka kb kc kd ke kf kg kh ki kj kk kl km kn ko kp kq kr ks ig go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">We then selected certain sources within each group that were most suitable for the client\u2019s business tasks. Before launching campaigns, we always discussed KPIs with representatives of advertising platforms in person in order to see the bigger picture and be confident in the results.<\/p>\n<p id=\"a339\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jv jw in jx b jy jz ka kb kc kd ke kf kg kh ki kj kk kl km kn ko kp kq kr ks ig go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">We ended up choosing Xoom, Xiaomi Ads and Appnext from the OEM group; as well as AdCounty and MAPerformance from in-app networks to start the project. We used ShareIt as an alternative app store, as it was the only platform that agreed to adapt to the described KPIs. ShareIt is a mobile app that allows you to share other apps between users skipping Google Play.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\n\n<div class=\"m-border-top block\">\r\n    <div class=\"block__col-1\">\r\n        <h3>Creatives<\/h3>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n    <div class=\"block__col-2\">\r\n        <p id=\"74bb\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jv jw in jx b jy lu ka kb kc lv ke kf kg lw ki kj kk lx km kn ko ly kq kr ks ig go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">Online pharmacies are E-commerce projects with constant demand and high competition. People often choose one pharmacy that they like and stick to it for almost all their lives. Thus, to make our offer more appealing to users, it was important to come up with catchy creatives that would help us stand out from competitors. Following the strict rules of the brand book, we developed ads with the focus on:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li id=\"f009\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy jz kc kd kg mb kk mc ko md ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">ordering medicines and beauty products online;<\/li>\n<li id=\"757a\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy mi kc mj kg mk kk ml ko mm ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">shipping speed;<\/li>\n<li id=\"97a6\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy mi kc mj kg mk kk ml ko mm ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">contactless delivery;<\/li>\n<li id=\"4c32\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy mi kc mj kg mk kk ml ko mm ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">a wide range of products \u2014 you can buy all the necessary medicines that might not be available at the offline pharmacy point in the app;<\/li>\n<li id=\"75c4\" class=\"lz ma in jx b jy mi kc mj kg mk kk ml ko mm ks me mf mg mh go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">discounts and promotions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"e6eb\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jv jw in jx b jy jz ka kb kc kd ke kf kg kh ki kj kk kl km kn ko kp kq kr ks ig go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">We have tried a total of over 100 creatives. Producing a large number of advertising banners and testing them instantly allowed us to find working concepts and scale advertising campaigns much faster. The average CTR for our banner ads was 10%.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\n\n<div class=\"m-border-top block\">\r\n    <div class=\"block__col-1\">\r\n        <h3>Outcomes<\/h3>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n    <div class=\"block__col-2\">\r\n        <p>We tested a total of about 20 traffic sources in 3 months. Unfortunately, budget constraints did not allow reaching the maximum number of orders, but the results still look very worthy:<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_950\" style=\"width: 2570px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-950\" class=\"wp-image-950 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/zorka.agency\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/ePharmacy-Case-sheet-03-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1318\" srcset=\"https:\/\/zorka.agency\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/ePharmacy-Case-sheet-03-scaled.jpg 2560w, https:\/\/zorka.agency\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/ePharmacy-Case-sheet-03-300x154.jpg 300w, https:\/\/zorka.agency\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/ePharmacy-Case-sheet-03-1024x527.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/zorka.agency\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/ePharmacy-Case-sheet-03-768x396.jpg 768w, https:\/\/zorka.agency\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/ePharmacy-Case-sheet-03-1536x791.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/zorka.agency\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/ePharmacy-Case-sheet-03-2048x1055.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-950\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The data includes repeat purchasing<\/p><\/div>\n<p id=\"a0e6\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jv jw in jx b jy jz ka kb kc kd ke kf kg kh ki kj kk kl km kn ko kp kq kr ks ig go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">As indicated in the table, iOS traffic accounts for about 5% of the total installs. This has to do with the new Apple policy on App Tracking Transparency and difficulties in optimizing campaigns.<\/p>\n<p id=\"e4f6\" class=\"pw-post-body-paragraph jv jw in jx b jy jz ka kb kc kd ke kf kg kh ki kj kk kl km kn ko kp kq kr ks ig go\" data-selectable-paragraph=\"\">Evaluating the overall results, we can say that we successfully carried out client\u2019s advertising campaigns, taking into account their KPIs, requests and budget. The first thing that helped us ensure good results was operational testing of a large number of sources, as well as launching OEM sites and scaling them actively.
